most of what motivates me to post on my public blog is the title. if i have a title in my head that i just can't get out, it must mean i need to purge it to the nether regions of www.
last week i went on a binge. a sewing binge. my to favorite items are two skirts i made from jersey knit.
since my style is called 'cheap and comfy' it is fitting that i made my own skirts and wore then in public, it's not like it's any worse then what i wear any other day. i may need to mention my current trend is, 'not that into myself' - meaning, i don't rely on my appearance to make me feel any curtain way, i just like to be comfortable.
the whir of stitches is calming to me (unless i'm on a deadline and kids are fussing), it lends to thinking, almost meditative. i spent a bundle of time thinking about our current national/international issues and i decided i am much happier putting fabric together then i am worrying about important issues. maybe i just don't care as long as i can s-t-i-t-i-c-h. sorry o'bam/mc'n, you really need to take it down a few notches for me to even want to care.
i have a feeling i should be feeling guilty for this view and probably will in the neat future, but for now i will just 'sew my way home at the close of the day...'
